Leading the Way

It’s time for a change of philosophy in Polk County government. With honest, fair, and open local government—government that’s efficient and responsive to its citizens’ needs—Polk County can start Leading the Way to prosperity in Iowa.

I have lived the American Dream, literally rising up out of poverty and working my way to the top of my profession as an attack helicopter pilot, Iowa Army National Guard officer, air show pilot, and a Boeing 757 Captain for Northwest Airlines.  I see out of control spending at all levels of government taking away the opportunity for our children and grandchildren to live that same dream.

As parents, my wife and I tackle issues with healthcare, quality education, and safety in our community.  Like most of us, we face challenges with balancing the family budget and trying to save for retirement.

It’s time we elect a Supervisor who is willing to go to Des Moines and fight for fiscal responsibility, smaller government, and lower taxes.  Polk County needs a supervisor who will remain loyal to his constituents and not his party’s bosses.

Polk County has been exceptional for well over 150 years.  Let’s keep it that way. After all, this isn’t Chicago.
